Purple f.o.t.d.

I woke up pretty late today coz we stayed out last night with my cousin April and her baby daddy Brad at jungle java. We talked about the good 'ol days, the stupid but fun things we used to do. Haha! I bet when the kids now get older they're going to be talking about their days with computers, nintendo ds's, psp's, flat screen tv's and all that technological stuff. But anyways, so I woke up just in time to get ready for lunch with bf and I was feeling purple. So this was the look I came up with. I had to constantly wet my eyes coz it was dry/blurry. I tried my best working with my eyes so here it is.

Mini Haul

I also got me a cellphone charm at A+ (Accessory Plus) in The Plaza. Coz I fell in love with Maggie aka HoneyBunny21's cellphone charm, but I didnt know/realized that it was the same exact one. I thought hers had a black flower! Sorry Maggie! It's just so eff'n cuuute! The regular price was $13 but she gave it to me for $10. woohoo!

Yea I took off the face plate I had on it coz my boyfriend is tricking it out with a paint job to match his car. I love the color coz it looks like the tiffany&co box. Yayyy! The picture does not justify his car/color, it has gold specs that give it the luxurious look. I'll try my best to capture it. He'll be home soon, once I take a picture of it i'll edit this post. But for now Heres a picture of his car!

randomness

So I'm at work right now and it's been really slow lately, I'm updating from my blackberry! It feels good to be able to go online anytime I want.
Anyways, I can't wait to start doing fotd's. If you didn't know my eye doctor told me that I can't wear contact lenses and it's been almost a month since. I had been wearing contacts for a few years and worn them for hours a day at a time, so one day I went in to get a new pair of contacts when the receptionist told me my annual eye exam is expiring that month. So I checked to see if my vision had any changes. That's when the doctor told me the bad news. He said since my eyes were badly deprived of oxygen, my body reacted to it and my eyes made its own blood vessel to supply it with oxygen. The blood vessels were so close to my pupil that the doctor kinda panicked. He said if not treated I could go permanently blind. I know, scary huh? Well that's the reason I haven't been able to wear makeup coz if I take off my glasses I can't see. I'll be getting the lasik (sp?!) soon yayyy! Anyways, I'll update on more later. My boss is just staring at me. Till thn ladies.

early anniversary gift from thee boyfriend

After debating for what seemed like forever, I got myself a blackberrryyy! At first I was torn between the storm and the curve 8320 but when I played with my cousin's storm a few days ago I was actually disappointed. It was not what I had expected. I hoped for a significant difference between the two. But it was pretty much the same. One just had a touchscreen and was wayyy more expensive. $700 some with a two year contract with the service provider. Plus, I bet it would cost a fortune to repair if anything were to happen to it. So I stuck with the curve. I had one before but this one's a higher model with wifi. So im happy! It also came with a face plate of my choice. So i'll leave you with pictures.

Dinner w/ bf & Night out with the Cousins

Over the weekend the boyfriend and I out went out with my cousins on my mom's side.

Friday night he took me out to dinner at Pietro (italian restaurant). We havent eaten there for a while so it was so good!

After dinner we met up with my cousins to watch movies: crank high voltage. Most of them thought it sucked but it was hella funny! So after the movies we went to magic styx to shoot pool, I initially didnt want to go coz I had work the next day so I only had on eyeliner and lipgloss but they were all going and I didnt wna miss out so I was only supposed to stay for thirty minutes or so coz I had work the next day but we ended up leaving at two thirty. waking up the next morning was a bitch! anyways, here's some pic from that night.

Saturday night we had dinner with my boyfriend's family at a chinese restaurant for his dad's 53rd birthday. After rhat we went to a karaoke bar called "Gud Taym" haha. Everytime we go there we have a good time. LOL. I had fun, even if some one my cousin's didnt show up. They were tired so it's okay. Anyway I had on simple eye makeup that night (simple smoky eye), because my glasses would just cover them up anyway.

Collective Haul

So I got me a bunch of nyx nail polishes for five dollars each.

before we went to the karaoke bar, we went to dfs and sephora was having a seventy percent off sale. but it was already late and all the good things were gone. but I did get to get this lip gloss set, it was originally $51 minus 70% was $15. I also used my employee discount and got an additional 20% off so the total became $12 some. this was a steal!

I also got this makeup vanity bag. This was originally $52 minus 70% = $15 minus my discount it totaled $12 some also. I was happy coz the lipgloss set and this bag could've easily been $100. But i only spent $24.48 for the both of it. Yayyyyy

I didint take a picture of it yet but I also finally got the 242 brush. woohoo!

Anyways, im thinking of selling some of my makeup that I either never used yet, only swatched or used it only once. So stayed tuned for my nexr post. till then ladies!

i love konad

I finally received my Konad Nail Art Stamping Kit! It took exactly one week to get here. So the moment I got it, I tried it out. I heard that it would take some getting used to so I followed the tips and tricks that I watched on youtube and I had no problem! The only thing I didnt like about it was cleaning up the excess polish on your skin (refer to the last picture). Even with qtips, because the polish doesnt stay on the cotton after wiping it, so if you use a dirty qtip/cotton on a clean surface it will transfer on to it, if you were able to understand that. But it's manageable Other than that it saves alot of money rather than paying about $5 per nailart.

Anyway, I got the double sided stamper w/ scraper, image plate #M57 and the black special nail polish. They were $6.99 each and free shipping (to u.s.) if you spend more than $20, anything less than that is only $2. Cheap huh!? The first time I heard of this I thought it would cost alot more. Anyways you could get this at wowsocool.com (clickable). There's alot of selections, im sure you'll go crazy looking for the perfect ones.

i miss my blackberry

So im thinking of getting a new cellphone again! Im in love with the blackberry storm but im reluctant about the monthly costs. Blackberry data rates are freaking expensive on Guam. But its sexy appearance might cause me to make another impulsive decision, *sighs! I had a blackberry curve for about 4 months before I sold it with the service provider contract because paying for a car and $100 a month for the blackberry was not working out for me! Grrr, right now im using one of the older phones, a motorola slvr. Im back to the old fashion texting / emailing, and it's driving me crazay! The screen is so damn small, the buttons are just annoying. I want the blackberry storm! I'll even settle for the Curve 8320. What do you think? Is it worth paying about $100 monthly? Please share some of your insights.

friday night / almost-haul (lol)

Yay! It's Saturday!

So last night we went to the race track coz the boyfriend just recently put a turbo kit on his car and he wanted to see his time. Well he's happy with it (14.3 seconds on a quarter miile) considering it's the first time he brought it. We finally got to hang out late with Paulyn & Erwin again, it was funn. They usually have to go home early coz baby Eryn. So, after the race we headed down to paseo with the boys and the girlfriends -- every other, if not every, friday car enthusiasts meet up at paseo parking lot to just hang out and show their cars off -- well it was pretty dead coz it rained a little but a riot broke out and that's always entertaining, as long as you or someone you know is not a part of it. haha! Then the boys got hungry so we ate at Kings (havent had that in a while) then called it a night.

Anyways, I call it an almost-haul for lack of a better word and I haven't received them yet. I ordered a few things last weekend and im just waiting on them to come in.

So first I ordered the M.A.C. Prep + Prime Skin Refined Zone from the colour ready collection. I have oily skin and when I wear foundation (M.A.C. Studio fix fluid NC 40) for long periods of time it starts to feel icky and gross and I just can't enjoy the night anymore after that. After watching so many reviews on this I decided to try it out for myself. So once I try it, i'll let you know how it works for me.
I love my studio fix fluid but it just gets too oily after a while. Then I started using Chanel Mat Lumiere in intense naturel 50, I love everything about it, it stays matte for a hella long time and the coverage was buildable so that worked well for me but that's the darkest shade they've got and it's still way too light for me. It would have been perfect if they had a darker shade.
So if this prep+prime works im going back to the studio fix fluid.

I also got three of the beauty from the earth multipurpose minerals from the spring 09 collection
in Kou, Fire Dancer and Aloha. I can't wait to get 'em and play with 'em. So stay tuned!

Another thing im excited about receiving is the Konad Nail Art Stamping Kit. I spend so much time and money on manicures & pedicures just for the nail art. So untile I receive these items i'll give you more details!
